David Noonan

1948-2020

David C. Noonan, Jr., 72 of Gilman, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2020. He was born on June 3, 1948 to the late Elaine (Paul) and David C. Noonan, Sr. Dave grew up in the Gilman area and graduated from Gilman High. He furthered his education at Marquette University. Dave started working thereafter as an Operating Engineer. He was a member of Union 139 and did many jobs for Market and Johnson.

Dave enjoyed spending time in the outdoors as much as possible. He enjoyed hunting on his land as well as out west. He especially enjoyed his time with his hunting family at Little Hills Hunting Preserve. He never missed the opportunity to be with his family for special occasions and holidays, or for just a quick visit and a home cooked meal. He had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews, and enjoyed teasing them as much as possible. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his brothers, Jim (Colleen) of Centuria and Rick (Mary) of Gilman; his brotherin- law, Wayne Smith; his nieces; and nephews, Tony (Amanda) Noonan, Sarah (Mike) Leiterman, Nathan (Jennifer) Noonan, Krista (Mike) Laggini, Christian Smith, Kyle (Victoria) Noonan, Joanna (Derek) Brenna and Paul (Arin) Noonan; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sandy Smith.

A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church-Gilman with burial in Meadowbrook Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family.
