Shirley A. Arnold, 84, of Rib Lake, died on Friday, May 22 at her residence in the town of Rib Lake under the loving care of her family and Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice. Private family only services will be held for Shirley in the future at their residence in the town of Rib Lake with Father Hrudaya Raju Sunkara officiating. There will be no public services.

Shirley was born on Oct. 10, 1935 at Waukesha, the daughter of Erwin E. and Hattie M. (Gastrow) Miller. She received her education in Menomonee Falls schools. Her marriage took place on Nov. 3, 1956 at St. James Catholic Church in Lannon to Edward H. Arnold and he survives. Prior to her marriage, she clerked at her family grocery store in Lannon. After their marriage, they farmed in the Germantown and Slinger areas before moving to the town of Rib Lake in 1994, where they farmed until retirement. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching the stock market, trips to the casino and watching the Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Michele) Arnold of Athens and Jeanne (Otto) Tiegs of Bryant; grandchildren, Bryan Arnold, Brenda (Travis) Punke, Kim Galarowicz, Karen (Nate) Hintz, Eric (Kim) Tiegs; seven greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Joan (Ken) Zahnow of Menomonee Falls.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donald Miller.
