Dale Lee Purdy, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 26, 2019 from a heart attack in Minnesota. Dale was born on Aug. 11, 1967 in Medford to Phil and Carol (Holtz) Purdy. He grew up in Medford and attended area schools, graduating from Medford Area Senior High in 1986. He met Diane Konecney and they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where their son, Kenny, was born. Diane preceded him in death. Dale worked for the Salt Lake Palace and did landscaping and made furniture. He and Kenny returned to Medford and he worked at various places. He did upholstery, chainsaw carvings, art painting and made furniture. Dale enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He was especially close to his uncle Robin and his family.

Dale is survived by his parents, Phil (Jean) Purdy and Carol Zahnen; his son, Kenny (Rachel); granddaughter, Kristina Timm; brother, Kevin (Stacey); niece, Alyssa (Justin) Mayer (Colby); uncles, Jay (Cheryl), Perry (Jeannie) and Robin (Lu Ann) Purdy, Gerald (Marlene), Larry and Jim (Diane) Holtz; his aunt Bev (Mike Peterson); and his good friend, Scott.

Dale was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Marie (Mittenzwei) Purdy; maternal grandparents, Norman and Eleanor (Schlais) Holtz; three aunts, Madeline and Judy Holtz and Shirley Miller; and uncle Bill Miller.

Greater than what we can see with our eyes is what we know with our hearts.
