Marjorie “Marge” A. Jensen, 80, of the town of Greenwood, passed away at home on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019. Visitation will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church, W5334 Dassow Avenue, Medford from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Chelsea Community Cemetery. Marge was born in the town of Chelsea on Thursday, Dec. 1, 1938, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Lissner) Dassow Sr. She grew up on the Dassow Dairy Farm. She met her future husband, Richard Jensen, while in high school. The couple were married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford on Sept. 29, 1956. In 1964, the couple purchased a dairy farm in the town of Greenwood. They operated the farm from 1964 until 1981. They then moved to their home on Forest Drive in the town of Greenwood. Marge was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Whittlesey. She was also a member of the Tuesday evening ladies bowling league at Little Bohemia and bowled with Richard at Little Bohemia on a Sunday evening mixed couples league. Marge was a member of the Greenwood Homemakers. After her children were all in school, she helped out as a cook for the Greenwood Elementary School. She then worked as a cook at Strama’s restaurant in Medford for many years until going to work at Hurd Millwork, where she was employed until her retirement.

Marge enjoyed fishing, camping, knitting, casino trips, listening to polka music, dancing and baking, especially apple pie bars and her German potato salad. But most of all, Marge loved her family and took great pride in all of their accomplishments.

Marge will be dearly missed by her husband of 63 years, Richard, children; Dennis (Susan) Jensen of Chelsea, Rick (Dawn) Jensen, Debra Grant, Diann (Donald) Hartman, Karen (Dennis) Becker and Cindy (Steve) Ziembo, all of Medford; son-in-law, Bob Ziembo of Medford; 16 grandchildren; and 27 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Edward (Sue) Dassow Jr. of Medford; sister-in-law, Catherine Dassow of Whittlesey; brother-in-law and sister-inlaw, Eugene (Violet) Jensen of Medford; and by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Ziembo; son-in-law, Edward Grant; and by three brothers and four sisters.
