A long-time Cadott resident celebrated a major milestone. June Perrenoud turned 90, June 1, and celebrated the event with a surprise parade and a small family gathering.

“She loves life,” said Kathy Reed, daughter of Perrenoud. “And she loves kids and her grandkids.”

Perrenoud’s family is her life and Reed says the family is lucky to have the “sassy lady” in their lives, too.

Perrenoud has four living daughters: Pat (Art) Osvold; Kathy (Chuck) Reed; Sue (Mark) Sedlacek; and Chris (Jerry) Jakubowicz. She also has a deceased daughter, Pam (Dale) Starck.

“She wanted to make sure us girls all had a chance to get to Laughlin, so all of us girls got a chance to go to Laughlin with her,” said Reed of the Nevada casino. “So, that was fun.”

Reed says Perrenoud loved the low-humidity weather in Nevada.

When Perrenoud is not with her family, she enjoys playing BINGO with her friends, especially with her friend, Deloris.

“She’s pretty happy to live to be 90 years old,” said Reed. “She always said ‘I never dreamt I’d live to be 90, but here I am.’” The Cadott Police Department, and Cadott Area Fire and Rescue led the way for a line of family in decked out vehicles of all sizes.

“She did say that she really enjoyed the parade,” said Reed. “She said that was really nice.”
