John and Lois Garbisch named Citizens of the Year
Lois and John Garbisch are the 2026 Granton Citizens of the Year. They were chosen for this year’s award for their years of dedication to the community, volunteering for a number of local organizations and serving in public office within the village, with Lois serving as a member of the Granton School Board from 1998-2011, and John serving as the village president from 2023 onwards. The couple will be recognized at the Granton Fall Festival on the first night of activities, Sept. 11, at the Granton Fire Hall.
