Medford’s American Legion Post 147 baseball team took two lopsided sweeps in doubleheaders in the past week with the second of those being 8-0 and 12-2 wins over Tomahawk Monday in Whittlesey.
Medford’s Ace Arndt dives into home plate and scores the winning run in Post 147’s 7-6, eight-inning win over Merrill Post 46 Friday afternoon in Class AA regional tournament play held in Three Lakes. Arndt’s run was the last of three that scored on a two-out, bases-clearing drive to deep rightfield hit byWillWojcik to give Post 147 the dramatic walk-off win.
