It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sallymay Janikowski, a beloved mother, cherished friend and talented artisan. Sallymay passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born on Sunday, March 24, 1940, Sallymay lived a life full of creativity, warmth, and love. Her hands crafted masterpieces through sewing, and her nurturing soul blossomed in her vibrant garden. Sallymay was known for her culinary delights that she lovingly prepared for family and friends, and she cherished the moments spent surrounded by nature, especially during her cherished trips up north.

Sallymay was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert Janikowski; her father, Howard Manske; and her mother, Evelyn Kiger.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Jeffrey and Lori Janikowski, who carry forward the values and passions she instilled in them.

A visitation to honor Sallymay’s life will be held at Schramka-Densow Funeral Home in Thiensville, on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Following the visitation, a burial service will take place at 3 p.m. at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg, where Sallymay will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert.

The arrangements have been thoughtfully handled by Schramka Funeral Home in Thiensville. Sallymay’s spirit and legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her gentle heart and bright spirit.
