Chieftains take rivalry match over the Chiefs

Homecoming week was big for the Lake Holcombe and Cornell volleyball programs, as they met, Sept. 16, in a conference match-up. Taking place at Holcombe, the two teams were locked in a fierce battle, for bragging rights.

The visitors claimed the first set, 25-18, but the Chieftains came storming back in the second set, 25-13 and also the third set, 25-14.

Cornell wasn’t ready to concede defeat, but time ran out for the Chiefs and Lake Holcombe brought in the fourth set, 25-11, for a 3-1 victory on the night.
