Cloverbelt Mini-Meet #1
In their opening meet of the season on April 22, the team took second in a ninehole contest against three other Cloverbelt-East squads. Their final combined team score of 210 put them behind Neillsville’s 196 but ahead of Columbus Catholic, who finished with 228, and Owen-Withee, who ended the day with 231.
Voss, Viegut and Johnson all finished within three strokes of each other, putting them right in the mix of the top performers of the day. While Neillsville’s Tucker Johnson distanced himself from the rest of the field with a score of 35, the second through eighth place golfers all finished fairly close to one another.
Voss had the Hornets top score, tying with Neillsville’s Colton Hannasch and Cody Hart for fourth place with a score of 48. Viegut was right behind him in seventh with a score of 49 and Johnson grabbed another top-10 finish for Colby by taking eighth after finishing the course in 51 strokes.
