Found guilty

Juan Arauz Rodriguez, 38, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of OWI (3rd) and OWI (4th). Charges of felony bail jumping, operating without a valid license (2nd within 3 years), drive or operate a vehicle without consent, misdemeanor bail jumping, operating with a PAC (3rd) were dismissed but read in for sentencing. For the OWI (3rd) court orders a $4,126 fine; 120 days in the county jail with Huber privileges and good time, to run consecutive to a criminal traffic case in Clark County; 31-month driver's license revocation, retroactive to any administrative suspension; ignition interlock device; $33 blood draw reimbursement; AODA and compliance with a Driver Safety Plan; 6 demerit points assessed against driver's license; DNA sample and payment of surcharge fee. Court gives defendant 120 days of sentence credit which will be time served for the defendant. For the OWI (4th), court ordered $3,439 fine, 210 days in the county jail with Huber privileges and good time, to run consecutive to the OWI (3rd) and Clark County traffic offense; 36-month driver's license revocation, retroactive to any administrative suspension (DOT will revoke permanently); ignition interlock device; $33 blood draw reimbursement; AODA and compliance with a Driver Safety Plan, 6 demerit points assessed against driver's license; DNA sample and payment of surcharge fee. Court grants 210 days of sentence credit, which will be time served. Any remaining days credit will be added to the OWI (3rd). All costs are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts office in the amount of $100.00 a month beginning June 6, 2025. Defendant is to notify the Clerk’s office immediately of new address.

Michelle Dombrowski, 51, of Medford, was found guilty due to no contest pleas of possession of controlled substances, amended from possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A charge of possess drug paraphernalia was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. Court ordered her to pay $896.90.

Anthony Holden, 37, of Gilman, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of providing incorrect information and obtaining approval otherwise not entitled to. A second charge of providing incorrect information and obtaining approval otherwise not entitled to was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion. Court ordered him to pay $343.50 and have a DNR revocation/suspension.

Tanner Kroening, 26, of Medford, was found guilty of take and drive a vehicle without owners consent-abandoned vehicle, amended from take and drive a vehicle without consent. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion. Charges of credit card fraudulent use (<=$2,500) and felony bail jumping were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. Court imposes but stays 60 days in the county jail to be served with Huber and good time. Court then places defendant on probation for 1 year. Conditions of probation are to pay court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, pay any restitution (which is to be determined by the State within 30 days), write a letter of apology to the victim, counseling as deemed appropriate, make a good faith effort to successfully complete the Taylor County Hybrid Treatment Court. The participation fee has already been paid. Total of costs is $453. The remaining costs are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts office in the amount of $50 a month beginning April 29, 2025.

Gary Marschke, 57, of Westboro, was found guilty due to no contest plea of worthless checks and was ordered to pay fine and restitution of $923.79.

Luke Peterson, 31, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of operating with a PAC (2nd). Charges of vehicle operator failure to wear seat belt, operating left of center, operate firearms while intoxicated, carry concealed weapon, and OWI (2nd) were dismissed on prosecutor’s motion. Court orders a fine of $1,617, $33 blood draw reimbursement, 10 days of county jail with Huber privileges, good time and 1 day jail credit to be served beginning no later than June 28, 13 month driver's license suspension, 13 months ignition interlock device, AODA and comply with Driver safety plan. Court orders Sheriff's department to return defendant’s guns and ammunition. Defendant to pay full amount to the Taylor County Clerk of Court's Office within 60 days.

Constantino Santiago-Lopez, 36, of Abbotsford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of operate without carrying a license, amended from operate without valid license (2nd within 3 years), and operator failure to have passenger seat belted and was ordered to pay $403.50.

Dallas Smart, 40, of Neillsville, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of possession of methamphetamine (repeater), felony bail jumping (repeater), possession of methamphetamine (repeater). A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia (repeater) was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.

For possession of methamphetamine, court orders 3 years of initial confinement followed by 2 years of extended supervision. In the second possession of methamphetamine charge, the court orders 3 years of initial confinement followed by 2 years of extended supervision. These are to run concurrent to each other and to any other sentence Smart is serving. Conditions of extended supervision are to undergo AODA and follow through with any recommended treatment, attend any programing, counseling, or anything else deemed appropriate by the probation agent, pay court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge. Defendant has 119 days of sentence credit. Defendant is eligible for the substance abuse program and the clerk is to complete the written explanation of determinate sentencing.

Anthony Sossaman, 45, of Withee, was found guilty due to guilty plea of strangulation and suffocation - domestic abuse. A charge of disorderly conduct - domestic abuse was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. Court orders a withheld sentence and places DE on probation for three years. Conditions of probation are to spend 4 months in the county jail with Huber privileges, Jail can be served in any county in the State of Wisconsin provided arrangements are made by counsel or the defendant, it is approved by the Taylor County Jail, and at no additional cost to Taylor County. Jail time is to begin no later than June 29 by 4:30 p.m., pay court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, no contact with the victim except for child purposes by electronic means or a third party, write a letter of apology to the victim due within 30 days and to be preapproved by the probation agent, attend counseling as deemed appropriate by the probation agent. All costs totaling $633 are to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts office in the amount of $25 a month beginning May 29.

Wayne Williamson, 65, of Medford, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of disorderly conduct - domestic abuse. A charge of battery was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. Court orders a withheld sentence and places the defendant on probation for a period of one (1) year. Conditions of probation: Payment of court costs, DNA sample and surcharge fee, letters of apology to the victims (due within 30 days from today to be preapproved by probation), counseling as deemed necessary by probation, AODA and all recommended follow-through treatment if probation requires an updated assessment as one was recently completed. Total due is $543. Defendant shall set up a payment plan with the Clerk of Court's office at the rate of $50 per month to be combined with an established payment plan.

Settlement conference set

Luke Lobacz, 45, of Owen, was found guilty due to no contest pleas of failure to stop at stop sign, operating left of center, operating while suspended, failure to keep vehicle under control, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He has pled not guilty to OWI (4th), felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping, operating with a PAC (4th). A settlement hearing is scheduled for May 19 at 10:30 a.m. with the district attorney.

Dismissed

A charge of truancy (2+) was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion against Devyn Halopka, 18, of Medford.

Plea entered

115655_2 Tylor Zondlo, 29, of Rib Lake, pled not guilty to OWI Cause Injury (2+) and PAC Cause Injury (2+) with extended order for ignition interlock device and a general alcohol concentration enhancer, operating while revoked (revoked due to alcohol/controlled substance/refusal), misdemeanor bail jumping and failure to keep vehicle under control. A status hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on July 30 at the Taylor County Courthouse.

Divorce

A divorce was granted to Janet Marie Bushman of Marshfield and Keith Anthony Bushman of Medford.
