Dairy breakfasts bring the farm to people’s bellies in 2023

The Abbotsford FFA Alumni celebrated June Dairy Month with the popular Abbotsford FFA Alumni Dairy Breakfast. This past year’s breakfast was hosted by Midwest Sidewalls (James Weideman) on June 4, 2023.

A great meal of pancakes, sausage, cheese, applesauce, cookies, juice, coffee, milk and ice cream was served to members of the community. Preparation, set up, cooking and serving was provided by volunteers made up of FFA Alumni members, community members, local businesses and fellow farmers. A big thank you to all that made the day a success.

Offering a June Dairy Breakfast helps connect the community and showcases the strength of the dairy industry in our community. The 35th annual Abbotsford FFA Alumni Dairy Breakfast will be held on June 2, 2024, from 7 a.m. - noon at Dukestead Acres in Abbotsford. We hope to see you there.

The Ertl family and Harmony Holsteins were the host of the 42nd annual Colby Dairy Breakfast on June 25, 2023. The event battled rain and mud to provide breakfast to many guests. The event included a polka band, petting zoo, equipment displays, various agriculture-related booths and much more.

Clark County Fairest of the Fair and her attendants as well as Alice in Dairyland Taylor Schaefer were in attendance to hand out stickers and greet guests.

Attendees were served a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, applesauce, cheese curds, cookies, chocolate milk, coffee, maple syrup and butter and ice cream.
