ALENDAR MCPL GRAB & GO CRAFT

January 1-31: Grab & Go Craft for Kids: Shattering Boomerang (all locations) - From January 3-31, the Marathon County Public Library will offer a free Grab & Go kit for kids at all nine of its locations. Each kit will contain supplies for making a toy boomerang that can “shatter” and easily be put back together. Kits are free and available while supplies last and can be picked up any time the library is open. For more info, call 715-261-7220.

Bring your entire family to story time at your local Marathon County Public Library branches. Children of all ages and parents/guardians are welcome to these 30-minute programs. Enjoy learning with all of your children through stories, songs and other literature-based activities.

Athens: Monday, Jan. 23, 10:30-11 a.m. and Monday, Jan. 30, 10:30-11 a.m.

Edgar: Tuesday, Jan. 3, 11-11:30 a.m.

Marathon: Thursdays (January 5, 12, 19 and 26) 10:30-11:15 a.m.

Stratford: Wednesdays (January 4, 11, 18 and 25) 10:30-11 a.m.

ST. STEPHEN COMMUNITY EVENTS

There will be music by Edgar’s 5th grade choir on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1-3 p.m. at the St. Stephen Lutheran Church Basement, 424 N. 3rd Ave., Edgar. There will be refreshments and snacks.

Bingo will be played on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1-3 p.m., with prizes, refreshments and snacks.
