The Stratford Board of Education has chosen two finalists, Nathan Lehman, Mosinee, and John Lehnen, Wind Lake, for its open Stratford schools superintendent job.

School board members will choose which finalist it’ll hire at its regular monthly board meeting on Monday, March 14. The top pick will succeed current schools superintendent Scott Winch when he retires at the end of this school year. Lehman will be given a tour of Stratford’s school buildings this Monday, March 7, in which he’ll meet staff and students. Lehnen will tour Stratford’s school buildings on Tuesday, March 8.

Lehman, a native of Edgar, has worked as principal at Mosinee High School from July of 2013 until now. He previously taught technology and engineering at Fond du Lac High School from July of 2008 until 2013. Lehman was a technology education teacher at Woodworth Middle School in Fond du Lac from January of 2002 until June of 2008.

Lehnen has served as superintendent/ principal of K4-8, of the North Cape School District from 2012 until now. He previously worked as assistant superintendent for learning services K-8 in the McHenry School District from 2006 until 2012. He was principal of Whitehall Middle School from 2004-2006, associate principal of the North Junior High campus for eighth and ninth graders in the School District of Menomonee Falls from 2000 until 2004 and business education teacher at Burlington Middle School from 1993 until 2000.

After graduating from Edgar High School in 1997, Lehman earned a bachelor of science degree in technology education from St. Cloud State University in December of 2001. He earned six graduate credits in coaching athletics from Fresno Pacific University in August of 2005. Lehman earned his masters degree in educational leadership from Marian College in Fond du Lac in 2013 and his superintendent licensure from Marian College in December of 2017. He earned his Doctor of Education from Edgewood College in Madison in July of 2021. Lehnen earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from UWWhitewater in December of 1989. He then earned his Master of Science and Education degree in business education from UW-Whitewater in 1993. Lehnen earned his principal licensure from Marian College’s instructional leadership program in 2000. He earned his superintendent licensure from Cardinal Stritch University in 2007 and his Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Served from Cardinal Stritch in May of 2020.
