Cadott Village Board; Certified Survey Map for lot combination approved

During a regular meeting May 17, the Cadott Village Board approved a Certified Survey Map for Brian Schuebel at 1304 N. Main Street, to combine separate lots.
“He can’t put a shed on an empty lot by itself,” said Sandy Buetow, village clerk. “So, he has to combine it with the principal building.”
Members also talked about the West Central Wisconsin Microenterprise Grant Program, with the application period running Tuesday, June 1 through Tuesday, June 15.
The $5,000 grant is available to businesses with five or fewer employees, including the owner(s), to cover working capital needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Ineligible entities include units of government and businesses primarily involved in crop production, animal production or aquaculture, lessors of real estate, or non-profit organizations.
The full list of eligibility requirements, as well as the application, is available at wcwrpc.org. Board member Terry Licht also asked for an update on the process of closing unused alleys. Buetow says Rolly Tichy, public works, is planning to give her a list of ones he would like to close, because there are several.
“They’re not used as alleys anymore,” said Buetow.
By closing the unused alleys, the village is no longer responsible for maintenance of that strip of property. Buetow says the property owners on each side of the old alley will get half of the space.
Board president Anson Albarado reported Tichy received bids for a replacement pick-up truck for the public works department, which Albarado signed off on before the prices changed. Buetow says the expense was budgeted for.
