You don’t have to break the bank to look trendy

She may only be 18 years old, but Olivia Sedlacek has her feet firmly on the ground and is carrying on where her grandmother, Kathy Sedlacek left off. Olivia opened Maggie’s Clover, at 339 North Main Street, in the same location her grandma had Sparrows by the Creek.
“We’re really lucky to have the building and do something with it,” said Olivia.
Olivia is not attending a four-year college, so her mom put the money she would spend to further her daughter’s education, into the business, while Olivia invests in it from her other jobs.
“It’s just kind of a cool story for us,” said Olivia.
The boutique’s name comes from Olivia’s middle name, Margaret, and from an old legend, that Eve picked a clover out of the Garden of Eden, to remember its beauty.
“It’s kind of like our slice of Heaven in here, to signify beauty,” said Olivia.
Items offered at the boutique, include women’s apparel, jewelry, decor and knickknacks, but it won’t break the bank to purchase something at Maggie’s Clover.
“Boutiques are known as really expensive and we want to step away from that – but not sacrifice the quality of the clothing,” said Olivia. “Because, not everyone can afford $100 for a shirt.”
The shop is open Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but for those who can’t make the store hours, they can browse online, at maggiesclover.com or contact Olivia, at maggiesclover@gmail.com.
Changing out seasonal clothing isn’t all that Olivia has planned, as she is starting a coffee bar, complete with espresso machine, as a way to get people out and about more.
“We want to bring some more community and life into Cadott,” said Olivia. “We’re excited to see where that goes.”
Olivia is very appreciative of all the support she’s received throughout Cadott, and how she’s been included in the community.
“Honestly, it’s turned out so much better than I could have imagined,” she said.
