What do the color pink and long-haired cows have in common? Well, usually, not much, but in the case of The Pink Highland Consignment & Boutique, it brings together the two favorite things of owner Brandie Anderson.

“The Pink Highland (logo/name) is not anywhere in the world,” said Anderson. “I was like, it’s just meant to be.”

Anderson opened the shop in the Holcombe strip mall, located at 26353 State Hwy. 27, Suite F, about a month ago. Right now, there are 40 consignors at the shop, which provides for a wide variety of men’s, women’s, a few children’s clothes and a plus size section.

The stock includes purses, jewelry, hats, active wear, dress clothes and even a Harley Davidson section.

“Because, that’s kind of fun,” said Anderson. “We have something for everyone. I think that’s really important.”

For now, the hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.

That could change, depending on how heavy the flow of customers is in the coming weeks. Currently, Anderson is in the process of making sure everything is perfect for her grand opening, Saturday, July 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Part of that is going through each item of clothing, checking for holes or rips, and laundering stains out, if needed. Before tossing out that favorite shirt, because it’s stained beyond repair, Anderson advises soaking it in Dawn platinum dish soap, to see if it can be saved.

“That’s a little tip that I give people,” she said.

Anderson is not accepting any additional consignors at this time, as she is busting at the seams, but when the stock is depleted, people are welcome to set up an appointment, by contacting her, at 715-5171155, to drop off items.

“I never, ever saw myself doing this, but I like it,” said Anderson.
