Cadott Village Board; Request to lower speed limit submitted

The Cadott Village Board continued seeking to lower the speed limit on County Hwy. X, as reported during a regular meeting July 18. The purpose of lowering the speed limit is so the village can allow ATV/UTV traffic on that stretch of roadway, in areas where they have jurisdiction.

Board member Randy Kuehni reported he met with the Chippewa County Safety Committee, to request lowering the speed limit along County Hwy. X, from Elm Street to 67th Avenue/Dump Road.

Kuehni says the county scheduled a meeting in October, to discuss and potentially approve the change.

Rolly Tichy, director of public works, also gave the board a heads-up, that work is being done on the skid steer hydraulics system and the grader hydraulics also needs work.

“Both of them could be a little on the spendy side,” said Tichy.
