Stanley Schultz

Stanley Bernhard Schultz, age 96, of Edgar, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, under the tender care of Heartland Hospice.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at First United Church of Christ in Colby. Reverend Teri Hanson will be presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is entrusted with the arrangements.

Stanley was born on April 6,1929, in Wausau, son of Bernhard and Hattie (Becker) Schultz. He graduated from Wausau High School. On May 6, 1950, Stanley and Velma (Holtz) united in marriage.

Stanley was a dairy farmer and logged for 30 plus years. Through rug making he was able to express his artistic side. He served on Clark Electric Board, and was a member of the Pommerscher Verein Central Wisconsin and Edgar Steam Show Club.

Stanley served as a worship leader and speaker for his church for many years. He loved talking, making people laugh and giving hugs. Above all, he loved and cherished his family.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 75 years, Velma: seven children: Karen (Robert) Thell, Bonnie (Terry) Beyreis, Jeffry (Coralee) Schultz, Russell (Sarah) Schultz, Sandra (Bob) Rindfleisch, Dennis (Kay) Schultz and Sara (Randy) Martyn. He is further survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, one great-greatgrandchild and seven step-great-greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Robert Howe and one grandchild.
