Gale Resech

Gale Patricia Resech, age 73 of Lac du Flambeau, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3,2025, at her residence under the care of Compassus Hospice. Gale was born on January 16, 1952 in Medford, the daughter of Henry and Lois (nee Jensen) Pernsteiner. Gale married John Resech on October 31, 1970, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonsville. She worked as a personal banker for 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the Lakeland Art League.

Gale is survived by her husband, John of Lac du Flambeau; her daughter Gwen (Bill) Bruegger of Wabasha, Minn., and son Jon (Ann Burke) of Hudson; four grandchildren: Avery (Chad) Pronscinske, Gabby (Nicholas) Schwerzel of Menomonie, Ethan (Skye) Marcott of Ogdensburg and Jasmine Marcott of Appleton; and great-grandchildren: August Pronscinske and Maverick Marcott. She is further survived by her sister, Jan Brehm of Medford; her brother, Gary (Linda) Pernsteiner of Medford; her sister, June (Jeff) Jones of Shelton, Wash., and by other relatives and friends. Gale was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lois Pernsteiner. A memorial Mass for Gale will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau with a visitation from 10 a.m. till the time of Mass. Burial will take place at Memorial Cemetery in Lac du Flambeau.
