First City Days this weekend

Abbotsford’s Red Arrow Park will host two days of classic chrome and diesel engines as part of the 20th annual First City Days this weekend.

Saturday starts with an antique tractor pull on blacktop, with registration opening at 10 a.m., followed by the pulls at noon The rules and information on competition classes can be found at tractortracks.net.

Four new farm classes have been added after the antique classes. For more information, call Ed Kulas at 715-507-0116 or Kevin Johnson at 715-613-4196.

A karaoke contest will be held in the afternoon, with sign-up running from 2 to 2:45 p.m. and singing starting at 3 p.m. Judging will be done by age groups: 12 and under, 13 to 18, and adults, with one winner declared in each category. Gary Lake of Great Lakes Karaoke will provide the songs.

The Dean Wiese Memorial Car Cruise will take off from the park at 6 p.m., following registration at 5 p.m. Monetary donations and non-perishable food items will be accepted as a registration fee. Your favorite ride doesn’t need to be a show car.

Sunday will kick of with Church in the Park, provided by Hope Center of Central Wisconsin, at 9 a.m.

Registration for the First City Days Car, Truck and Tractor Pulls will be start at 8 a.m., with voting running until 2 p.m., followed by a trophies presentation at 3 p.m. For more information, call Brandi at 715-721-6024.

Central Wisconsin TV Puller will hold lawn tractor/ATV/UTV pulls at 1 p.m. (registration starts at noon). For more information, call 715-721-6024.

Breakfast will be served on both Saturday and Sunday, from 7 to 10:30 a.m., and food and beer will be sold both days. A petting zoo will run from noon to 3 p.m. each day, and crafters and vendors will be on site throughout the weekend.
