Curtiss Corners meeting minutes
Curtiss Corners Quilt Club met Monday, July 21 at 6:45 p.m. in Curtiss Community Center with 15 members attending.
Quilt Show 2025 is Saturday, Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Curtiss Community Center, located in downtown Curtiss. This year’s theme is Raining Cats and Dogs in recognition of the club’s yearlong community service project.
Things to do at the 2025 quilt show: view displays located throughout the building, attend demonstrations, purchase tickets to win prize baskets, vote on your choice of quilt entries, purchase craft sale items, complete the quilt challenge game and stop by the kitchen for lunch and dessert.
Demonstration schedule is 9:30 a.m. with Wing Clipper Four-at-a-Time Flying Geese (Crystal Ludwig), 10:30 a.m. Art Quilt Embellishment Made Fun & Easy (Doreen Schultz), 11:30 a.m. Strip Tube Bias Binding (Cathy Settlemyre), 12:30 p.m. Quilting by the Book (Loralee Peterson), 1:30 p.m Quilters Select Rulers and Cutters (Sandy Marshall) and 2:30 p.m. Community Service Donation: Clark County Humane Society and Group Quilt Project: Owen-Withee Area Historical Society.
The club is proud of its community service project supporting the Clark County Humane Society and group project creating a quilt in centennial celebration of City of Owen’s 100th birthday. Representatives will be on hand to accept the donations.
