Curtiss Corners Quilt Show
The Curtiss Corners Quilt group will be holding their 35th annual quilt show,
Raining Cats and Dogs, on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join in on the fun at the Curtiss Community Hall as they display beautiful quilts, hold demonstrations, craft sale and a raffle to win gift baskets. Lunch will be served with assorted desserts.
This yearâs community project was to make dog bandanas of various sizes, as well as dog and cat blankets. The projects will be displayed and dog bandanas will be for sale. The proceeds will go the Clark County Human Society.
There will also be crafts for sale, raffle baskets and demonstrations. Vendors will be Creative Hideaway from Dorchester, and Martin Nolt will offer light sewing machine cleaning.
Demonstrations include: 9:30 a.m. - Wing clipper, four at a time, flying geese - Crystal Ludwig 10:30 a.m. - Art quilt embellishments made fun & easy -Doreen Schultz 11:30 a.m. - Bias binding tape making - Cathy Settlemyre 12:30 p.m. - Quilting by the book Loralee Peterson 1:30 p.m. - Quilter select rulers & cutters - Sandy Marshall 2:30 p.m. Clark County Humane Society Curtiss Corners Quilt club meets every third Monday of the month, except for August and December, at the Curtiss Community Hall at 6:30 p.m. New members are always welcomed.
