Thomas A. Mesiar

1955-2025

Thomas A. Mesiar, 70, of Donald, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at his home. He was born Thomas Andrew Mesiar on March 25, 1955 in Colorado Springs, Colo., to the late John T. and Emma I. (Reuter) Mesiar. The family settled near Donald and Tom grew up there. He graduated from Gilman High School in 1973. Tom went on to serve his country in the Navy.

When he returned to the area he worked for Weathershield in Ladysmith for many years. Tom enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Sheldon where he enjoyed being a greeter for many years.

He is survived by his special friend and caregiver, Shelly Simbol; his sisters, Josephine (Tom) Shikner of Thompson, Ohio, Caroline (Matthew Sweda) Mesiar of Sheldon and Lisa Mesiar of Thorp; and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Todd.

Funeral services will be held privately with burial in the Donald Cemetery. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
