Theresa L. Bube

1939-2025

Theresa attended the Highland School and helped out on the family farm. She later entered the workforce at Gem Products Shoe Factory of Rib Lake. After, Charles and Theresa purchased a farm and dairy farmed for 48 years. Theresa was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, spending time outdoors, and working on the farm.

Survivors include her children, Jon Bube, of Rib Lake, Lori (Ray) Orth, of Abbotsford, Roger Bube, of Medford, Terri Pinter (Scott Purgett), of Abbotsford, Kurt Bube, of Medford, Shawn Bube, of Rib Lake, and Casey Bube, of Wausau; her son-in-law, Alan Handel, of Medford; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Thums, of Ind., Mary Lou Thums, of Westboro, and Jean Thums, of Medford; and her brother-in-law, Loren Sherfield, of Rib Lake. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Bube, Travis Bube, Lee Orth, Ryan Orth, Shari (Eric) Loiselle, Samantha Orth (Casey Dahl), Ashley (Moose) Engen, Cory Pinter, Nicole (Matt) Werner, Kelsey (Robby) Schaefer, Haley (Joe) Junker, Tia Bube, Cole Bube, Clayton Bube, Maxx Handel (Tim Meerstein), and Chase Handel (Madeline Schneider); and her great-grandchildren, Kolt Bube, Isaac Schaefer, Levi Schaefer, Emmett Schaefer, Jacob Junker, Evelynn Junker, Madelyn Junker, Haisley Dahl, Brixley Dahl, and Braylen Dahl; in addition to her nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, John and Theresa; her daughter, Toni Handel; her brothers, Norman, Ferdinand, Max, John, Frank, Oliver, Louie, Art, Harry, and Harold Thums; and her sisters, Agnes Kosek and Mary Sherfield.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake. Fr. Julian Druffner will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory of Tomahawk is assisting the family. Theresa L. Bube, age 85, of Rib Lake, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at home surrounded by her family and under the care of Compassus Hospice.
