HEAD FIRST SLIDE INTO THE MUD - Carter Hanke of Marathon walks past his older brother, Cody Hanke of Marathon, after sliding into home in the mud on Saturday night. The Marathon Veterans Field infield was very muddy on Saturday night after Friday and Saturday’s rainfall. The rain subsided late Saturday afternoon. The infield was so muddy that softball players had trouble running as fast as they’d normally do around the bases. The Hanke brothers played for Last Out which beat Underwood Construction, 15-7.
