On June 1, at 7:14 a.m., the Taylor County Sheriff’s department was notified of a one vehicle crash on CTH F in the town of Taft. According to the crash report, a vehicle operated by Sarah Roach, 37, of Cadott, was traveling westbound on CTH F. The driver told law enforcement she was driving too fast and had looked down at her phone instead of negotiating the curve to the north. The vehicle ran off the road, struck a road sign, continued and struck multiple trees and rolled. The driver left the scene and did not report the crash. The vehicle was left in the ditch and removed at a later date. The driver was cited for operating while revoked (revoked due to alcohol/ controlled substance/refusal) and failure to notify policy of an accident. TAYLOR COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
