With the help of the Small Business Development Grant from the WEDC, The FIX-IT Grant this week announced the recipients of its inaugural program, awarding a total of $14,950 in grants and $30,000 in loans to businesses and property owners committed to enhancing the vitality and accessibility of Medford and Gilman. The FIX-IT Grant program provides crucial funding specifically designed to improve facade, interior, exterior, inclusiveness, and facilitate strategic teardown projects, contributing to more vibrant and thriving communities across both Medford and Gilman.

'We are incredibly excited to announce the first cohort of FIX-IT Grant recipients,' said Billie Hartwig, Grant Coordinator for The FIX-IT Grant. 'The overwhelming response and the quality of the applications truly demonstrated the dedication within our communities to invest in meaningful improvements. These projects range from revitalizing historic storefronts to creating more inclusive spaces, and we believe they will have a significant and lasting positive impact on our collective well-being and economic growth in both Medford and Gilman.' Inaugural FIX-IT Grant Recipients Among the diverse range of projects supported by The FIX-IT Grant are: Amanda's Place (Gilman); AME Zippie Lube and Auto Repair (Medford); Am's Cakes and Bakes; The Haymow (Medford); Old School Saloon (Medford); Vault Village (Gilman).

The selection process for The FIX-IT Grant was highly competitive, with numerous strong applications submitted from both communities.
