On May 18, at 8:45 a.m., a horse and buggy operated by Harvey Stutzman, 27, of Holcombe, was traveling eastbound on CTH M in the town of Pershing. According to the crash report, the horse and buggy was traveling closer to the shoulder of the road and on the roadway. The horse and buggy was following another buggy. An unknown automobile was also traveling eastbound on CTH M and struck the horse and buggy in the rear driver’s side wheel, breaking the wheel. The automobile then fled the scene and has not been located. The horse and buggy sustained disabling damage. R EPORTS One vehicle crashes

On May 28, at 4:19 p.m., a vehicle owned by Bartnik Trucking of Abbotsford and operated by Joseph Malovrh, 67, of Medford, was traveling east on Quarter Lane in the town of Chelsea, when it met an oncoming truck. According to the crash report, the driver stated that the oncoming truck did not move over far enough and he moved over too far resulting him entering the south ditch and almost overturning the milk truck he was driving. The road is gravel and does not have a shoulder. The report noted the edge of the road is soft. The driver was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. Two large straight trucks removed the truck from the ditch and it was towed from the scene.

On May 25, at 3:45 a.m., a vehicle operated by Dorothy Anderson, 55, of Dorchester, was traveling southbound on CTH C in the town of Deer Creek. According to the crash report, just north of Ellingson Rd., the vehicle crossed the center line and entered the northbound lane. The vehicle continued southbound for a short distance into the east ditch and struck the roadway embankment of Ellingson Rd. where it came to its final resting place. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was later removed by the owner. Anderson was cited for failure of operator to notify police of accident (2nd+), operating left of center, and inattentive driving.

On May 24, at 8:45 a.m., a vehicle operated by Denise Rausch, 64, of Athens, was operating in the parking lot of the Walmart at 1010 N. 8th St., Medford, and failed to see a post. The vehicle side swiped the post causing damage to both driver side doors on the vehicle.

Deer related crashes

On May 27, at 4:53 a.m., a vehicle operated by Cynthia Boehlen, 66, of Medford, struck a deer while westbound on CTH A in the town of Little Black.
