Barbara Marie Egle

1939-2025

Barbara Marie Egle, 85, of Ladysmith, died on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at her home. She was born on Aug. 28, 1939, in Medford, to Michael and Gertrude (Totzke) Jaslowski. Barb married Marvin Egle on June 17, 1961, in Medford. They moved to Ladysmith in 1968. Barb was a teacher in Medford, Hawkins and Ladysmith. She was a member of the Flambeau Area Piecemakers Quilt Guild. She loved gardening, reading, doing puzzles and quilting. Barb was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin; two sons, Marc (Carla) Egle of Ladysmith and Michael (Lisa) Egle of East Troy; two daughters, Lori (Rex) Lloyd-Jones of Rice Lake and Lynn (Jon) Zevenbergen of Wilson; six grandchildren; her brother, Daniel Jaslowski of Medford; and her sister, Julee Roudebush of Algonquin, Ill.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Gertrude Jaslowski; and a brother, James Jaslowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 30, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith with Father Papi Reddy Yeruva and Deacon Craig Voldberg officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith. Visitation was from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, at the church.
