Medford curlers competed in Iceland in the Akureyri Ice Cup
Medford Curling Club members Jeff and Kathy Hemer and David “Beaner” Lemke and Connie Bergman traveled to Iceland to compete in the Akureyri Ice Cup that was held May 1-3. While there, the Medford curlers toured the country, which is about the size of the state of Wisconsin but only has about 300,000 residents. The competition drew teams from all over Europe and several from around the United States. It was held on arena ice in the city of Akureyri (right). SUBMITTED
