Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is proud to announce that students from the paramedic technician program, fire medic program and emergency medical technician – paramedic program have achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) paramedic exam – marking the third year in a row that every student who completed the program has earned their paramedic license.

This exceptional accomplishment highlights the program’s ongoing commitment to excellence in paramedic education and the dedication of both students and faculty. The NREMT paramedic exam is a rigorous national standard, testing the advanced knowledge and skills required to provide life-saving care in emergency settings.

“In addition to their academic achievements, many of our students are deeply committed to serving their local communities, often working within local EMS and fire departments while completing their training,” said Will Isham, EMS Program Director at Northcentral Technical College. “This connection to their communities not only strengthens the workforce but ensures that these individuals are prepared to provide high-quality, compassionate care in the areas that need it most.”

NTC’s programs blend classroom learning with hands-on clinical and field experiences to ensure students are wellprepared to meet the demands of the profession. Graduates are equipped with the critical thinking, leadership, and clinical skills necessary to perform in high-pressure emergency situations.

“One of the highlights of our EMS program at NTC is the flexibility we offer through our hybrid courses,” Isham said. “This flexibility allows students to balance the demands of full-time jobs, family responsibilities and other commitments while still completing the rigorous 1200+ hours of class and clinical training required to become certified paramedics “Our students have shown remarkable determination in managing these responsibilities, and their success is a testament to their resilience and our commitment to supporting their growth both academically and professionally,” he added.

NTC remains committed to preparing graduates who are ready to serve their communities with excellence and compassion.
