The final concert of the Medford Area Performing Arts Association’s 2024-2025 season will be on Friday, April 25, when A Neil Diamond Story with Denny Diamond, will perform at Medford Area Senior High School’s Red and White Theatre, beginning at 7 p.m.

Denny “Diamond” Svehla will present an engaging and entertaining night with the memorable music of Neil Diamond. The memories will come flooding back as you hear favorites like Forever in Blue Jeans, Sweet Caroline, and Solitary Man, among many others. You’ll learn a bit about Neil Diamond’s life and stories about the famous songs he penned. You will also hear about some of the artists who have covered these iconic songs as Denny Diamond shares stories along with the music of Neil Diamond.

An interesting and enjoyable performance by a talented fellow whose voice is quite similar to that of Neil Diamond.

Season ticket holders do not want to miss this special evening.

The Medford Area Performing Arts Association has begun their membership drive for the 2025-26 concert season, which consists of three programs. American Tune with Tom Glynn takes you back to the 1970s to experience the timeless music and prolific songwriting of Paul Simon, Jim Croce and James Taylor. Nate Hance, Piano Potpourri, this unique blend of timeless classics and original compositions, offers something for everyone. The Suits are comprised of four dynamic gentlemen performing four genres of hit music from the ‘50s through the ‘80s: Motown, Doo Wop, Pop and Rock, fusing smooth choreography with tight harmonies. Anyone purchasing a ticket for the 2025-26 season may attend the “A Neil Diamond Story with Denny Diamond” concert as a bonus concert. New memberships may be purchased at the door the night of the program.


BRIAN WILSON/THE STAR NEW There was a full house on Friday, April 11 at Medford Area Senior High School for the Kiwanis Big Ticket Bingo event. The event raises funds for Kiwanis to put on events and service projects in the community.
