Found guilty
Sally Lis, 40, of Thorp, was found guilty due to a no contest plea of inattentive driving, amended from failure to yield right of way, and was ordered to pay $187.90.
Patrick Nelson, 24, of Medford, was found guilty due to no contest pleas of two counts of exposing genitals/pubic area/intimate parts to a child, a class I felony. A charge of third degree sexual assault - sexual contact - defendant bodily fluids was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion and a charge of sexual intercourse with a child 16 or older, actor 19 or older was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. The court ordered a withheld sentence and places Nelson on probation for a period of 3 years for the first charge. Conditions of probation are to pay the court costs, provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge, counseling as deemed appropriate by the probation agent, maintain absolute sobriety from all illegal drugs as well as prescription drugs that are not being prescribed to the defendant. Nelson shall have no contact with any female under the age of 18 unless approved by the probation agent, with the exception of his daughter or in a business setting and business purpose. Nelson shall have no contact with the victim and shall register as a sex offender for 15 years. In other count, the court orders 120 days of jail time with Huber privileges. Jail time shall begin no later than September 2. Nelson shall pay court costs and provide a DNA sample and pay the surcharge as well as register as a sex offender for 15 years. All costs totaling $1,051 are to be paid to Taylor County Clerk of Courts office in the amount of $125 a month beginning August 1, 2024. If Nelson does not make his payments, Court orders him to sit one day in jail for every $25 not paid.
Deferred prosecution
A deferred prosecution agreement was approved for Jamie Sonnentag, 46, of Medford, for a charge of disorderly conduct - domestic.
A deferred prosecution agreement was approved for Sienna Sultze, 18, of Medford, for truancy - 1st.
