Students with ties to area earn college academic honors and achievements
UW Stevens Point honors
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point honored more than 2,300 undergraduate students for attaining high grade point averages during the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.
Full-time undergraduates who earned grade points of 3.90 to 4.0 (4.0 equals straight A) are given the highest honors designation. High honor citations go to those with grade point averages from 3.75 to 3.89 and honor recognition is accorded to those with grade point averages from 3.50 to 3.74.
Personalized certificates of scholastic achievement are sent to those who earned highest honors distinction.

UW-Stout students named to Dean’s List for spring 2024
The following students from the area have been named to the University of Wisconsin-Stout Dean’s List for the spring 2024 semester.
The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
UW-Stout has more than 50 industry-aligned undergraduate programs and 24 graduate programs. Established in 1891, UW-Stout prides itself on the success of its students in the workplace, with an employment rate of 99% for recent graduates. The university was awarded the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2001.

Rachel Mudgett, of Stetsonville, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Rachel is a graduate of Medford Senior High School.

Rau earns Bachelor of Science at UJ
Jake Rau earned a Bachelor of Science with a major in Exercise Science from University of Jamestown.
Rau, of Stetsonville, Wisconsin, graduated from UJ during commencement ceremonies May 4, 2024, in Harold Newman Arena on UJ campus.

MSOE announces the Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2024
Milwaukee School of Engineering congratulates the following students: Alexis Fleegel of Medford was named to the Spring Semester 2024 Dean’s List. Fleegel is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Abby Krug of Medford was named to the Spring Semester 2024 Dean’s List . Krug is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.
MSOE encourages excellence in academic achievement and, as a result, publishes the Dean’s List and Honors List each fall and spring semester. Students taking undergraduate courses who have earned at least 12 credits in residence at MSOE, are in good academic standing, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher are on the Dean’s List. Students on that list who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive “high honors.” Students with a term GPA of 3.20 or higher, who are not on the Dean’s List, are on the Honors List.
