On May 7 at 1:52 p.m., Taylor County sheriff’s deputies responded to a two vehicle crash on CTH O and Progressive Ave. in the city of Medford. A vehicle driven by Devin Draeger, 36, of Medford, was traveling westbound on CTH O from Progressive Ave. The driver of the second vehicle, Sandra Neuman, 61, of Medford, was turning eastbound onto CTH O from Progressive Ave. According to the crash report, Neuman stated she did not see the westbound vehicle. Both motorists stated there was a semi turning right onto Progressive Ave. that was not involved in the crash. Neuman was ticketed for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign. R EPORT Crash with injuries

On May 5 at 2:43 p.m., a vehicle operated by Theodore Kane, 50, of Gilman, was traveling north on Meridian Dr. in the Town of Taft, approximately .25 miles south of CTH S. A deer ran in front of the vehicle and was struck with the front end of the vehicle. A passenger, Christina Dornon, 46, of Bloomer, was treated at Aspirus Medford Hospital for suspected minor injury. The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

One vehicle crashes

On May 7 at 5:23 p.m., a vehicle operated by Diane C. Noland, 75, of Medford, was attempting to leave the parking lot at 1010 N. 8th St., and struck a pole causing damage to the driver side portion of the car. The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene and sustained moderate damage.

On May 7, at 4:55 p.m., a vehicle operated by Diane Zimmerman, 59, of Dorchester, was attempting to leave the Medford Plaza parking lot and struck a stop sign causing severe damage to the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was removed by County Line Towing due to disabling damage.

On May 4 at 3 a.m., a vehicle operated by Lucas Schult, 34, of Medford, was attempting to turn right off of Castle Rd. (northbound), onto CTH M (eastbound) and crashed into the ditch. Due to the ditch line being flooded, Schult’s truck was half-submerged in water. Schult was ticketed for failure of operator to notify police of an accident and for non-registration of auto.

On May 5 at 12 a.m., a vehicle operated by Ethan Hermann, 22, of Eau Claire, was traveling westbound on Pine Ave. in the town of Little Black, at approximately 40 mph. According to the crash report, the driver advised he lost control of the vehicle due to the road being muddy from the rain and crashed into the north ditch of Pine Ave. sustaining functional damage.

On May 13 at 10:55 a.m., Lori Brost, 62, of Medford was driving through the parking lot at Medford Plaza and struck a pole in the parking lot. The vehicle sustained damage to the front end.

Car vs. bear

On May 10 at 4:10 a.m., a vehicle driven by Emily Ziembo, 29, of Westboro struck a bear while driving southbound on Hwy 13 in the city of Medford. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.
