Medford Cooperative has been supporting Agriculture since 1911 and it continues to be a top priority. The Feed Mill was built in 1984 and it is time to revitalize and invest in key areas. In nearly 40 years there has not been a major investment in Ag Services, leading to the need to significantly up-grade the infrastructure, equipment and capabilities to align with modern farming practices and technology. This will increase accuracy, efficiency and yields that producers can obtain.

In 2023 the Cooperative invested in building their infrastructure in several key areas:

• A new distributor for Feed Mill which allows for more accurate disbursement of feed materials.

• A new cyclone that increases the quality of materials sold to customers.

• A new roof on the Feed Mill, which is essential to maintain the building.

The Medford Cooperative also invested in key services by adding Carl Kass, nutritionist and Zach Seiffert, agronomist, to the team.

“This year we are investing in new equipment. As the equipment ages it needs to be replaced with newer and more advanced options. This will allow us to improve the efficiency, performance, effectiveness, and quality of our Ag Services,” explains Chris Piotrowski, CEO and General Manager. “A 5-year plan has been developed to revitalize our Ag Services infrastructure, equipment and services.”

A Rogator 1300C G5 Dry Box Fertilizer Spreader and a Fendt Sprayer were the first key pieces of equipment to be delivered and are ready to begin servicing Medford Cooperative customers.
