On January 12 at 12:01 a.m., a vehicle driven by Brittany Volkman, 32, of Medford, was traveling eastbound on CTH M, East of Tamarack Dr. in the town of Greenwood. Volkman swerved for a deer and entered the South ditch of CTH M. The vehicle continued eastbound through the ditch before striking a field entrance driveway on the South side of CTH M. The vehicle become airborne before overturning and rolling a total of one time in the roadway of CTH M. The vehicle then continued across the highway before coming to a rest in the North ditch. Volkman sustained possible minor injury and received citations for failure of occupant to notify the police of the accident, operating a motor vehicle while suspended, non-registration of automobile, operating a motor vehicle left of center, and failure to keep vehicle under control. On January 16 at 12:17 p.m.,a vehicle driven by Beverly Stoflet, 76 of Nekoosa, was northbound on Hwy 13 in the town of Deer Creek. Stoflet was slowing to turn right when she was impacted by a vehicle driven by Brent Bunkelman, 39, of Stratford,

One vehicle crashes

On January 19, at 6:45 a.m., a vehicle driven by Landon Ryczek, 18, of Mosinee, traveling southbound on Hwy 13. He had just passed a car and as he re-entered the southbound lane, hit a patch of ice and lost control causing the vehicle to enter the west ditch and strike a clump of small trees before coming to rest facing south. Driver was not injured and was wearing his seat belt. The vehicle was towed but not due to disabling damages. The officer verbally warned the driver to slow down.

On January 10, at 8:23 p.m., a vehicle driven by Ethan Szydel, 33, of Medford, was traveling southbound on Wren Dr. in the Town of Holway. Szydel moved over due to another vehicle traveling northbound that was getting close to them. As a result, the vehicle struck a mailbox belonging to James Carlson of Medford, and caused damage to the passenger side mirror.

On January 14 at 6:03 p.m., a vehicle operated by Tucker Broeske, 22, of Medford, struck a deer while driving on Anderson Rd/CTH Q in the town of Medford.

On January 15 at 5:25 a.m., a vehicle driven by Baily Wiacek, 16, of Sheldon, was traveling eastbound on CTH D, slid through the intersection of CTH H, in the town of McKinley and came to rest after impacting the ditch and a tree. Wiacek sustained possible injury and received a citation for inattentive driving.

On January 19, at 10:38 a.m., a vehicle driven by Talan Mitchell, 16, of Medford, was traveling northbound on CTH C in Rib Lake. Mitchell stated he reached down to turn on the aerator and his leg caught the steering wheel. The vehicle went abruptly left, entered ditch, struck embankment, went airborne, and struck tree, coming to rest on its passenger side. The vehicle ended on the property of Todd Packenham of Rib Lake. Vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

On January 21 at 8:45 a.m., a vehicle driven by Trevor Brehm, 22, of Medford, struck a deer while traveling eastbound on Hwy 64 in the town of Medford.

On January 19 at 11:34 p.m., A vehicle driven by Jeremy Ruka, 41, of Medford, was involved in a one-vehicle crash on South Whelen Ave. According to the report, Ruka was on his way back from work and stated he could not see out of his windshield due to it being foggy from the cold temperatures. He stated he was wearing his seatbelt, has insurance through Progressive and that he was not injured and the vehicle sustain cosmetic damage only.

On January 22, at 12:53 p.m., a vehicle driven by Sharon Doyle, 69, of Medford, struck the rear tire of an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot. at 127 W. Broadway. The parked vehicle is owned by Renea Henke, 54, of Medford.
