Kiwanis makes call for local talent for summer concert series in city park
The Medford Kiwanis Club is issuing a call for talented people for the 2024 Kiwanis Concert Series of performances to be held at the Tombstone Pizza Stage in the Medford City Park.
Outdoor concerts will be held on Thursday nights in June, July and August 2024 on the newly constructed performance stage.
The goal of the series is to bring the performing arts to the community while providing a venue for our talented musicians and performers to showcase their skills and abilities with an emphasis on showcasing young performers.
Each act should be prepared with enough material for at least a 45 minute show.
All varieties and genres of music and performance are welcome.
This is an all-ages show and lyrics and content should be kept to “PG” level.
There is electrical power at the venue to plug in equipment, but no sound or light equipment will be provided at this time.
Performers are asked to submit a link to a video sample of their work along with a brief description of their group to KiwanisMusicSeries@gmail.com by 11:50 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 with schedule of acts to be announced on February 29. People may contact 715-4650333 for more information.
Each act will receive a $300 stipend for their performance in addition to any tips received from the audience at the shows. Kiwanis members will be selling concessions at the shows.
The Kiwanis Concert Series is made possible with the support of the Medford Hotel/Motel Room Tax Fund, Medford Kiwanis Club fundraisers and local business sponsors.
The Medford Kiwanis Club was established in 1946 and is part of Kiwanis International.
