On November 27, at 6:05 a.m., a vehicle driven by Jason Wichersham, 45, of Medford was eastbound on Correction Ln., in the town of Medford. Wichersham advised that they slid through the stop sign controlled intersection and slid into the westbound lane. A vehicle driven by Adam Hobl, 37, of Medford was westbound on Correction Lane and moved over into the eastbound lane to avoid Wichersham’s vehicle from colliding with his head on. The two vehicles collided in the passenger side front causing disabling damage to both vehicles. Wichersham’s vehicle continued into the north ditch after the collision. There were no apparent injuries as a result of the accident. Wichersham was cited for operating while suspended and failure to keep vehicle under control. Taylor County Sheriff’s Depart ment

R eports Deer Related

On November 29, at 4:30 a.m., a vehicle driven by Noelle Neuberger, 29, of Withee struck a deer on CTH A in the town of Maplehurst.

On November 30, at 9:16 p.m., a vehicle driven by Steven Walchli, 23, of St. Peters, MO struck a deer on STH 64 in the town of Ford.

One Vehicle Crashes

On November 19, at 2:30 a.m., a vehicle driven by Marshall Fuchs, 24, of Medford was eastbound on Camp 8 Rd., west of the Camp 8 campground when he failed to negotiate the curve and left the roadway before coming to rest on its driver side and scraping a tree. There was a suspected minor injury as a result of the accident. Fuchs was cited for operating while revoked (revoked due to alcohol/controlled substance/refusal).

On November 23, at 5:59 a.m., a vehicle driven by Bailee Darling, 20, of Wausau was westbound on CTH A east of the intersection with Robin Dr., in the town of Deer Creek. Darling left the roadway and entered the ditch. There were no apparent injuries as a result of the accident. The vehicle suffered minor damage. Darling was cited for operating while under the influence.

On November 26, at 12:13 p.m., a vehicle driven by Wilbur Dachel, 16, of Conrath was traveling east on Sunnyside Dr. and failed to negotiate a right hand curve. The vehicle crossed the center line and entered the north ditch where it came to rest on its drivers side facing east. None the occupants were hurt and all were wearing their seat belts. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front end steering components.

On November 26, at 5:15 p.m., a vehicle driven by Alan Blume, 49, of Medford was traveling northbound on CTH Q in the town of Medford. Blume lost control on the snow/ice covered road and entered the ditch and came to a rest against the trees. The vehicle had to be pulled out of the ditch, but was able to be driven from the scene. There were no apparent injuries as a result of the accident.

On December 2, at 1:30 a.m., a vehicle driven by Tyler Olson, 29, of Westboro was eastbound on Little Rib Rd., in the town of Rib Lake when it swerved to avoid a westbound vehicle. Olson’s vehicle entered the ditch on the north side of the road, then crossed over to the ditch on the south side of the road before having impact with some trees. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. There were no apparent injuries as a result of the accident.

Two Vehicle Crashes

On November 28, at 3:48 p.m., a vehicle driven by Carly Siverling, 37, of Medford and another vehicle driven by Afton Werner, 17, of Medford were both northbound on Billings Ave., in the city of Medford. Siverling slowed for a bus. Werner attempted to stop, but slid into the back of Siverling’s vehicle, likely due to road conditions. Siverling did have three passengers in the vehicle, but no one suffered any apparent injuries. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage, but were able to be driven from the scene.

On December 1, at 4:42 p.m., a vehicle driven by Zachary Haynes, 22, of Medford turned out of a parking lot on the east side of N 8th St. to head southbound on N 8th St. A vehicle driven by Birgit Phillips, 62 of Westboro, was attempting to turn northbound on N 8th St. Phillips stated that she had looked both ways but did not see Haynes southbound on N 8th St. Phillips pulled out of the parking lot entrance striking Haynes’ vehicle in the passenger rear door. Neither occupant reported injury. Haynes’ passenger side curtain airbags deployed. Phillips’ vehicle sustained cosmetic damage to the front bumper. Both vehicles were able to be driven away from the scene by the drivers. Haynes was cited for nonregistration of auto. On December 2, at 10:46 a.m., a vehicle driven by Jasmine Garcia, 26, of Withee was eastbound through a parking lot at 135 Gibson St. in Medford. A vehicle driven by Walter Brackmann, 70, of Catawba was southbound, making a left curve. Both units were intending to exit the parking lot. Brackmann struck the left side of Garcia’s vehicle as they converged at the exit driveway. There were no apparent injuries as a result of the accident. Garcia was cited for operating while suspended.
