Rib Lake board mulls options after feedback from community survey
A crew of volunteers has been hard at work for the past week getting the ice ready at the Medford Curling Club. On Saturday morning, the workers placed the houses on the ice, which serve as targets for those playing the sport. They then sprayed a thin layer of purified water over each of the houses and the entire ice arena to build it up to be playable. The first curling event of the season is the Curling for Your Cause Charity Bonspiel on November 10-11. GINNA YOUNG/THE STAR NEWS Grant Bub, Taylor County broadband program manager, spoke Dec. 10, to residents of Gilman, about what services are currently provided to the area and which ones are still coming in the next few years. There’s a distinct lack of internet services to the rural spots, which the county and private companies are working to address.
