Kathleen R. Dassow

1955-2023

Kathleen R. Dassow, 67, of Medford, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023 at Marshfield Medical Center, surrounded by family. A memorial service for Kathleen took place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Whittlesey, with Pastor Ralph Shorey III officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation was at Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Kathleen was born on Dec. 2, 1955 to Alfred and Esther (Werner) Zuleger in Marshfield. She graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1974. After school she worked as a CNA at the Medford clinic, before going to work for Tombstone. She worked for Tombstone for 37 years until her retirement. In retirement she worked as a babysitter. Kathleen married Tommy Dassow on Aug. 16, 1975; he survives.

In her spare time, Kathleen enjoyed traveling, spending time at Devil’s Lake, rooting for the Brewers, playing cards, and sister weekend trips.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Tom; children, Melissa Dassow and Josh (Ellyn) Dassow, both of Medford; grandchildren, Logan (Kylea) Dassow of Thorp, and Colton and Katelyn Dassow, both at home; brother, Werner (Holly) Zuleger; sister, Cheryl (Dean) Reiter. Kathleen is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kathleen’s name may be given to the family for use at a later date.
