Only a minor injury was reported, after a buggy and car collided Jan. 26.

Chippewa County Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk says the collision took place at the intersection of State Hwy. 64 and County Hwy. D, in the Town of Estella, with the call coming in at 5:09 p.m.

According to the accident report, the driver of the vehicle, Tabitha Zaszczurynski, Stanley, was driving eastbound on State Hwy. 64, when she struck a buggy that was partially on the roadway.

“The driver stated she did not see any lights on the back of the Amish buggy,” said Kowalczyk, adding that a witness said the same.

Zaszczurynski sustained a minor wrist injury and the driver of the buggy, Mahlon Swertzentruber, Gilman, reported no injuries.

“The Amish buggy was totaled and the vehicle sustained disabling damage,” said Kowalczyk.

Kowalczyk says Zaszczurynski was cited for Operating After Revocation.
