Bicycle ride promoting good cause to end in Colby
The Father Dennis Mullen Adoption Initiative is proud to announce its firstever bicycle ride to promote adoption, taking place from September 8 to 15. The eight-day event aims to raise awareness about the urgent need for adoption and to provide assistance to families with adoption expenses.
This unique initiative, in collaboration with Wisconsinite and nationally recognized advocate and ultra-bicyclist, Mark Scotch, and the Knights of Columbus Council 2137 of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, promises to be a memorable journey spanning various cities in westcentral Wisconsin. The ride will commence in Rice Lake on September 8, and participants will make overnight stops in Ladysmith, Colby, Stevens Point, Tomah, The Shrine Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe - La Crosse, Durand, and Menomonie, before culminating in Rice Lake on Sept. 15. Each overnight stop will include a special prayer and fellowship event, fostering a sense of community and purpose among the participants.
Additionally, on Wednesday, September 12, there will be a bus trip from Rice Lake to La Crosse for those who wish to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. To join the bus ride, interested individuals can contact the St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Office at 715-2342032, where the office staff will be glad to assist with registration.
The Father Dennis Mullen Adoption Initiative is dedicated to supporting adoption in all aspects, including legal fees, transportation, home safety upgrades, and personal support and encouragement for families considering adoption. All funds raised are tax-deductible and channeled directly into this cause, which helps to ensure that every child gets the loving family they deserve.
