Classic cars, antique snowmobiles and squealing ATVs will all be on display this weekend as Abbotsford hosts the 16th annual First City Days.

Red Arrow Park will host the threeday festival, which begins Friday night at 6 p.m. with an antique tractor pull on blacktop. Registration starts at 4 p.m. For more information, call Ed Kulas at 715-507-0116, Kevin Johnson at 715-6134196 or Dean Wiese at 715-721-6881.

A beer stand will also open up Friday night, and food and soda will be available for purchase throughout the weekend. Kids games, crafters and vendors will also be at the park during the festivities.

DJ K.R.N., aka Kevin Neumberger, will play music from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday night.

Saturday will start with a breakfast at the park from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

The highlight of the day will be the vintage snowmobile show and swap meet, with registration running from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

First and second-place trophies will be given out to both original and restored models going back to the 1970s, 1960s and earlier. Voting ends at 2 p.m., with trophies awarded at 3 p.m.

Lawn tractor and ATV pulls will start at 1 p.m., with registration beginning an hour earlier at noon. Call Tim at 715-965-3635 or Tony at 715-383-4406 for more information.

Registration for an old-fashioned car cruise will start at 5 p.m., with the chrome cruisers taking off from the park at 6 p.m. The registration fee is a non-perishable food donation for the local pantry.

King Wilkie’s Dream, out of Eden Prairie, Minn., will perform bluegrass, old country and rock-and-roll songs from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. Their high-energy shows feature musicians on fiddle, mandolin, guitar and stand-up bass.

Sunday will open again with a breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. A church service in the park will be held at 9 a.m.

Sunday’s showcase event will be the annual car, truck, tractor and motorcycle show, with registration running from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Voting ends at 2 p.m., with first and second-place trophies being awarded at 3 p.m. in multiple classes, including people’s choice and best of show.
