Those who have ever sung in a choir are likely aware that the highest male vocal part is that of tenor. Tenors sing those exciting pitches that often give goosebumps and incite awe in their listeners.

A casual internet search will turn up many, many “tenor” singing groups. While the LuCille Tack Center has presented “tenors” in the past, it is truly excited to bring to the stage this season an unusual trio of “redneck” tenors on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m.

Set in an imagined trailer park of the 50’s, these singing sensations tell stories sure to take the audience on a sidesplitting ride of non-stop laughs.

At the same time, their award-winning voices will showcase a wide array of songs that range from gospel and country to Broadway, pop, and classical. Whether hearing the strains of a popular TV theme song such as “Green Acres” or an operatic rendition of Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma,” Central Wisconsin will not want to miss the vocal prowess and downhome humor of the 3 Redneck Tenors.

Based in Dallas, Texas, these characters have been seen as top 10 finalists on “America’s Got Talent,” on Larry the Cable Guy’s History Channel show “Only in America,” and live in theaters from Branson to Billings, Mont.

Matthew Lord is a native of California andhasperformedwithalmosteverymajor opera house in the country, making his New York Metropolitan Opera debut in 2004 in “Boris Godunov.” He played Piangi in the Hamburg, Germany production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Phantom of the Opera” and is a graduate of the prestigious Julliard Opera Center.

Blake Davidson is a versatile singer who has performed world-wide, and whose experience includes opera, symphony and musical theatre. He has done solo concerts at NYU, theLincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Tokyo Opera House. Early in his career he was seen off-Broadway at 2nd Stage and as the ringmaster for the Shrine Circus.

Jonathan Frugé holds a bachelor of arts degree in music performance and a masters of music in vocal performance from Texas Tech University. His credits include choral performances and soloist appearances at Carnegie Hall with the New York City Chamber Orchestra and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
