game, Feddick came up with ….

game, Feddick came up with another big play, this time with his arm. The Cougars put pressure on the line, and nearly had Feddick wrapped up in the backfield, but Feddick showed his elusiveness, escaping twice from Coleman defenders to find senior end Reiley Schreiber for a 10-yard pass play - and third down conversion.

That conversion proved crucial, with the drive ending in a 10-yard scoring run from Falteisek. A successful two point conversion by Faber made it 28-12 midway through the third quarter. Coleman continued to drive down the field, scoring on a two-yard run to pull within ten, at 28-18, but the Falcons fourth quarter mojo continued, with Abby scoring three touchdowns and a safety to put the game away for good.

Faber would score from four yards out, and Falteisek added two points, and Faber had another big carry, springing loose for an 11-yard TD scamper that made it 42-18.

Coleman scored one final time, from 40-yards out, but it was too little, too late. A safety at the end of the game was just the final icing on the cake, giving Abby 12 wins on the season.

The Falcons will be looking to carry their momentum over to the state semifi nal game, where they are bidding for lucky number 13 this Friday. Abby knows Regis will be their greatest obstacle yet, but they’ve defied odds before, and are only too happy to do it again.
