The fire burned out the inside of the home and left a shell standing. Broom Hockey Teams from Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, and Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, played broom hockey on the ice rink in Abbotsford. Zion Lutheran won 7 to 5.
