CITY OF COLBY Notice of Ordinance Adoption Ordinance No. 2025-03 Responsible Unit Recycling Ordinance The City of Colby has adopted Ordinance #2025-03, amending and restating Sections 386-01 through 386-26 of the Municipal Code to comply with updated Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources recycling program requirements (Wis. Stat. §287.11 and Ch. NR 544, Wis. Adm. Code). The ordinance establishes updated recycling and waste management rules for all residents, multi-family dwellings, and non-residential properties within the city. It defines recyclable materials, requires proper separation and preparation of recyclables, prohibits disposal of separated recyclables, and sets enforcement procedures and penalties for violations.
