Local dealers Loren Johnson, Colby, and Dennis Mertens, Dorchester, were presented with an award as a thank you for their loans to the Colby High School driver’s education program. Abby Wins District Abbotsford’s City Team defeated Auburndale to win the championship of the National Baseball Congress district tournament to earn a berth in the finals which is being held in Madison. Jim Nikolay serves as manager. Tug of War Buckhorn defeated Hunter’s Choice in the annual Rope Pull contest held as part of Cheese Days. The event was coordinated by Eric Elmhorst and Judy Kaeser.
